Each leaf is described by microfilm number and is written in black ink unless otherwise indicated.
Mfl. 2717A-2718 : Written on one leaf of 15 staves, measuring 25.5 x 34.7 cm. The recto contains a sketch of meas. 1011-1014 and an unidentified 5-measure phrase. The upper right hand corner is stamped '49'. Four additional staves have been hand drawn in the lower margin. The verso contains a sketch of meas. 768-780 in black ink. The last system contains sketches that were never used. There is also a partial sketch of the passage in pencil. The upper left hand corner is stamped '50'.
Mfl. 2719-2722 : Written on one leaf of 15 staves, measuring 25.5 x 34.2 cm. The recto contains sketches of meas. 866-867 and 1073-1077, along with tone row sketches. The upper right hand corner is stamped '51'. The verso contains sketches of meas. 940-941, four variations on measure 942 (three of which are labelled A-C). 'B' is marked '927' in red pencil). All of these sketches are crossed out in yellow pencil. A sketch of meas. 954-956 follows, which is crossed out in yellow pencil and red pencil. Two sketched variations of meas. 955-956 are next; these are marked off and part of one line is circled in red pencil. Finally, there is a sketch of the clarinet part in meas. 1066. The upper left hand corner is stamped '52'.
Mfl. 2721-2722 : Written on one leaf of 15 stave paper, measuring 25.6 x 32.2 cm. The recto contains sketches of meas. 856 (Solo viola), 964-968, early sketches of 973-977, followed by 984-985. Tone row sketches appear near the right margin. The upper right hand corner is stamped '53'. The verso contains sketches of meas. 868-872, 942-945, 946-948, 951-952, 964-966. The upper left hand corner is stamped '54'.
Mfl. 2723-2724 : Written on one leaf of 15 stave paper, measuring 25.6 x 32.2 cm. The recto contains sketches of meas. 946-948, 974-977, 1081-1085, 1098-1099. The upper right hand corner is stamped '55'. The verso contains sketches of meas. 1089-1099, 1103-1104. The upper left hand corner is stamped '56'.
Mfl. 2725-2726 : Written on one leaf of 15 stave paper, measuring 25.6 x 32.2 cm. The recto contains a sketch of meas. 1073-1076, and a row table combining the primary row with its inversion at the fifth. These notes in turn are made into 12 groups of seven, using red pencil, blue pencil and green pencil. The upper right hand corner is stamped '59'. The verso contains early sketches, possibly of meas. 1073, 1064, and at the bottom, a sketch of the vocal part at meas. 1081-1082. The upper left hand corner is stamped '60'. The lower right hand corner is labelled in pencil '12-1776'.
Mfl. 2727-2730 : Written on one double leaf of 15 stave paper, measuring 25.6 x 34.7 cm. Page [1] contains sketches from meas. 305-313, a draft of the vocal part in both pencil and black ink, meas. 462-465, and a sketch of meas. 475-477. Two staves have been hand drawn in a small portion of the lower margin. Page [2] contains sketches from meas. 483-487, 834-840. Page [3] contains sketches of meas. 683-719, primarily with text. Page [4] contains sketches written in both pencil and black ink of meas. 378-408, 432-435, 476-477.
Mfl. 2732-2735 : Written in pencil and black ink on one double leaf of 30 stave paper, engraved 'Lard Esnault B.F.K. Rive', measuring 35.1 x 27 cm. Page [1] contains sketches of the vocal parts in meas. 274-282, 283-295. Page [2] (mfl. 2735) contains sketches of meas. 254-269. Page [3] (mfl. 2734) contains sketches of meas. 114-137. Page [4] contains sketches of meas. 294-305, without text. A small piece, measuring 3.9 x 0.6 cm., has been cut from page [3] near the right hand margin.
Mfl. 2736-2738 : Written on one double leaf of 30 stave paper, engraved 'Lard Esnault B.F.K. Rive', measuring 35 x 27 cm. Page [1] is blank. Page [2] (mfl. 2737) contains several sketches of meas. 834. Page [3] (mfl. 2738) contains sketches of meas. 722-730, 753-756, and a few more sketches of meas. 834. Page [4] (mfl. 2736) contains sketches of 856-889 and 964-965, the latter without text. Mfl. 2739 : Written in pencil on one double leaf cut in an irregular shape, having at most 6 staves and measuring at most 15 x 34.7 cm. The first page contains a sketch of meas. 277-278. The remaining pages are blank.
Mfl. 2740-2741 : Written on one leaf trimmed to 4 staves, measuring 4.8 x 30.4 cm. The recto contains a sketch of the vocal part in meas. 64-76. The first two measures also have the accompaniment sketched. The verso contains sketches written in pencil and black ink for meas. 223, 230-231 and the text written in pencil for meas. 224-231.
Mfl. 2742 : Written on the recto of one leaf with 12 staves, measuring 33.8 x 27.1 cm. The leaf contains ranges of alto, baritone, tenor, soprano, bass and sopranino saxophones. The verso is blank.
Mfl. 2743 : Written on the recto of one leaf trimmed to 8 staves, measuring 10.2 x 24.5 cm.; contains a sketch of the vocal part in meas. 199-206, with text.
Mfl. 2744 : Written in pencil and black ink on the recto of one leaf trimmed to 27 full staves, engraved 'Lard Esnault B.F.K. Rive', measuring 30.2 x 27 cm. The leaf had been folded in half horizontally. The lower half is labelled 'A' in the margin and contains sketches of meas. 75-84, 235-238, 535. The upper half is primarily written upside down and contains sketches of meas. 500, 478, 484, 487-492, 500-504. The verso is blank.
Mfl. 2745 : Written in pencil and black ink on the recto of one leaf of 15 staves, measuring 25.5 x 34.8 cm.; contains a sketch of meas. 274-277. Vertical lines have been drawn in purple ink to ensure the proper alignment of the notes. Three staves have been drawn in the lower margin. The verso is blank.
Mfl. 2746 : Written in pencil on one leaf of paper trimmed to 16 staves, measuring 25.5 x 33.7 cm.; contains a sketch of the first eight measures and a draft of the setting at the beginning of the opera. The leaf is dated '21.X.1928' in the upper right hand corner; it is stamped '20' in the lower right hand corner. The sketch is crossed out in green pencil. The verso is blank, except for '19' which is stamped in the lower left hand corner.
